Chinese local history textbooks first appeared in the late Qing Dynasty.Since the reform and opening,people from all walks of life have begun to pay attention to local history textbooks.Meanwhile,the total amount of relevant theoretical research achievements and compiling practice has become more and more.Tianshui is a famous historical and cultural city in China.It has rich historical and cultural resources and has unique advantages in the compilation of local history textbooks.In the period of the Republic of China,Tianshui was compiled with two textbooks of "Tianshui local textbooks" and " Tianshui three-character Scripture".In recent years,some of the counties under the jurisdiction of Tianshui have appeared "the lovely Wushan","into Zhangjiachuan" and so on.In the past few years,these textbooks have been used and received some results in a certain range,but there are still some problems to be improved.During writing the teaching materials of the Tianshui native history in the new era,to provide them with theoretical and method reference,we combine the experience of the existing native soil materials in Tianshui,systematically and extensively collect the Tianshui local chronicles,the Tianshui local history,the large series of historical and cultural series of Tianshui,the works of local scholars,and the related periodicals and degrees papers.At the same time,the necessary field investigation was carried out.The following are the compilation theories and methods of this study,including: 1)Spatial determinacy,temporal arrangement and content range of material selection in Tianshui local history textbook.2)The principles of compiling textbooks should be centered on the theme of patriotism,rigorous and scientific content,local service,authority,readability and interest.3)The compilation of teaching materials is suitable for interpenetrating local history textbooks.4)The objective of Tianshui local history textbook was designed,and the catalogue structure of Tianshui local history textbook was initially planned.Based on the above conclusion,a case of “Longnan Academy in late Qing Dynasty” was written.It is hoped that this book will provide some reference and basis for the compilation of high-quality local history textbooks in Tianshui.
