Cambodia-Chinacultural exchanges between the two countries have a long history.From ancient times,Chinese people moved to Cambodia,Cambodia’s Chinese language teaching has been more than a century,with the continuous development of China’s economy,there are many Cambodian local students also slowly began to learn Chinese.Facing with the growing demand for Chinese learning in Cambodia,there are many problems occur such as teaching methods,classroom management,teaching materials and student management.This paper aims at the study of the text compilation of Chinese textbooks"Huawen" in the primary school of China in Cambodia,which is designated by the Chinese Council of Cambodia for most of the foreign language textbooks used in primary schools in Cambodia,currently has more than 50 common textbooks for Chinese schools in Cambodia,About 20,000 pupils are using the textbook.However,since the publication of the 1995,this textbook has only been revised in 2006,and most of the text is based on the 1995-year revision,no more additions to the content.In this paper,based on the principles of compiling the text of modem foreign language textbooks,the author makes a research and analysis on the compilation of the textbook of Cambodian Chinese,and then puts forward some reasonable suggestions.This paper is divided into 3 parts of the content to conduct research and analysis:First,the subject matter and genre of the text of the Chinese language.This paper is specific to six volumes(seven volumes to 12 volumes)of the text theme and genre to analyze and make recommendations.Second,the Chinese text of the elements of the study,through the new words,sentences,grammar parts in the textbook to carry out the analysis of the text of the Chinese language textbooks.Third,through the experience to this textbook,the author combined with the predecessors of the text of Chinese textbooks to compile the principles,and then pointed out the "Chinese" textbook text writing questions,and then the text of the textbook to prepare a reasonable proposal.Because the contents of the text of the Chinese language textbooks are old,the subjects are comparatively biased in literature,the genre is unitary,and the class type is only a non dialogue form.In addition,the text in the design of new words is not scientific and reasonable,the number of new words,the difficulty is high,the rate of recurrence is low;the grammar is not prominent in the text,the lack of grammar after class,not conducive to the progress of the students,but also affected the teacher’s teaching.In view of these problems appearing in textbooks,the author,on the basis of the previous research on textbook text,combined with the investigation and interview of Cambodian teachers and students,and the experience I have used for more than six years,put forward some hope that it can play a positive role in the improvement of the textbook of Chinese in Cambodia.
