Self-education is an activity that in which an individual consciously affects his own physical and mental development.It is not only the unity of self-teaching and self-leaning,but also an important way for college students to promote self-development.With the combination of mobile phone and the internet,the mobile phone has transformed from the initial communication tool with single function into a new type of mass media.It is a universal phenomenon that almost every college student owns a mobile phone,which becomes a daily lifestyle.And this brings many opportunities and challenges to the self-education of college students.It is of great theoretical and practical significance for college students' growth and progress to study the effect of the use of mobile phone media on the self-education of college students,to pursue advantages and avoid disadvantages,and to explore how to promote the self-education of college students by the reasonable use of the mobile phone media.The whole text is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the connotation of mobile phone media and the status quo of the use of it in college students.Mobile phone media is a mass media using mobile phone as a carrier,the wireless Internet as a platform,which is able to achieve instant information transmission.It also has the characters of portability,immediacy interaction,multi-melting,mass decentralization and privacy.Currently,the mobile phone media has become one of the necessities in life for college students,with the diversification of functional application and the huge amount of content selection.At the same time,some problems occur during the use of mobile phone media among college students,such as high consumption of it,obvious dependence on it,evident entertainment,the lack of the ability of identifying negative information.The second part discusses the specific influence about the use of mobile phone media on self-education of college students.The influence is complex,multiple,including both positive and negative aspects.For the positive aspects:the mass and diversity of information enrich the contents of self-education of college students;portability and multimedia innovate the way of self-education of college students;the positivity and enlightment of spreading contents promote the process of self-education of college students;internet application and mobile storage function expand the platform of self-education of college students.For the negative aspects:the multi-nature of contents strikes the correct orientation of self-education of college students;liberalization and pan-entertainment use weaken the ability of self-control of college students;the use of mobile phone media in college students challenge the education guidance of college educators.The third part puts forward the countermeasures to carry out self-education by the reasonable use of the mobile phone media.On the basis of understanding the positive and negative influence of mobile phone media on self-education of college students,we need to play the synergistic function of college students,colleges and society,take effective measures to pursue advantages and avoid disadvantages and to enhance the actual effects of self-education of college students.That is,college students can apply initiatively the learning function of mobile phone media,enhance the awareness and ability of self-education;colleges can strengthen the construction of media capacity and excavate mobile phone media advantages of serving self-education of college students;social departments can take main responsibility,optimize the use environment of mobile phone media and purify the internet room of self-education of college students.
