Rural education is the cornerstone of Chinese education.The development of rural education depends on the development level of rural teachers.Long term study of rural teachers' professional development focused on the technical level and ignored thephenomenonthat apart from their professional development,their daily life functions as their principal beliefs and guiding values.Undoubtedly,the spiritual life is one of the most worth studying and exploring fields among the life style and pattern of teachers in rural areas.The spiritual life of rural teachers carries their self perception,value orientation and life appeal,which is a spiritual sustenance built on their material life.It is often combined with the material life,education life of rural teachers,affecting the quality of their education level directly or indirectly.Therefore,the study of the spiritual life of rural junior middle school teachers will attribute to the development of rural education,helping the reform and development of rural education with the soul of “people” and “human figure” as well,futhermore promoting the overall development of rural education.The spiritual life of the rural junior middle school teachers has not only the common characteristics of spiritual life in general sense,but also its special character.From the special character we can see that the spiritual life of rural junior middle school teachers lies in the rural junior middle school field,which is based on the existing actual condition of the rural junior middle school and interpersonal activitiesand their teaching activities.Their spiritual life style is formed gradually along with the consumption of their spiritual time and space.This kind of spiritual life style mainly includes the leisure state,emotional needs,learning beliefs,psychological basis,spiritual temperament,moral and ideological beliefs and the pursuit of faith of rural junior middle school teachers.Combined with the theory of spiritual life,this paper analyses from aspects of leisure life,emotional life,learning life,psychological life and faith life of junior middle school teachers in rural areas.Through investigation and interview,it is found that the current state of the rural junior middle school teachers is not ideal.which mainly lies in the following aspects: the low quality of leisure life,the low recognition of emotional life,the light of learning in the living environment,the pressure of psychologicallife and the worried belief in the living conditions.The main reasons for this phenomenon are: the influence of rural society and economy;restrict rural junior middle school environment;rural local government insufficient attention;school management and evaluation of the concept of relative lag deviation cognition and teachers etc..Therefore,from the academic point of view,the research puts forward the optimizing strategy to enhance the quality of life of rural junior middle school teachers spirit,that is,speeding up the rural economic and social development,gradually getting rid of institutional barriers of urban-rural dualism;building a strong rural spiritual culture ecological environment;promenting the reform of teacher management and evaluation concept,cultivating rich campus cultural life and improving teachers' personality,establishing the correct values of teachers and so on.
