A Study On The Social Work Practice Of Enhancing The Role Of Volunteers

This paper is from the feeling of the author's internship process that the volunteer role of the degree of awareness of those volunteers of X institution is not high.Through the observation and the interview of those volunteers,we found that they exist on the role of volunteer expectations of unclear,the lack of awareness of the role of volunteers in institutions and the unclear knowledge of the role of volunteers in specific services,which reduce the quality of volunteer services,minimize the potential of volunteers and make them lack of initiative in the service.In order to improve the status of recognition of the volunteers role and explore ways to enhance the role of volunteer role,reviewing the relevant literature and the characteristics of the professional,we choose the role of volunteer expectations of this key problem as the focus of the intervention.Via the way of the 10 volunteers of the X institutions to work group involved,so that volunteers will understand what is volunteer and what should they do or should not do in the service,and the majority of these are from the expectation of the public.And then according to the characteristics of the volunteers of the X institutions that the service object is children,so that we should make them understand the characteristics and needs of children,and ultimately enhance the volunteer role of cognitive status improve the quality of volunteer service.By this way,not only can improve the capacity of the service of X institutions volunteers,but also explore the volunteer training in the future to join the volunteer role of cognitive content.On this basis,the author suggests that social workers in the volunteer service process to guide,social workers to increase volunteer role in cognitive training and the use of group work to enhance the volunteer's Role recognition,which are three aspects to promote the formation of a good role in the recognition of volunteers.
