The concept of chemistry is an indispensable part of the content of chemistry teaching in middle school,and it is also the most fundamental and important part.Most of the traditional concept of chemistry teaching and learning by memory and exercises,both teachers and students have been caught in a misunderstanding of learning,resulting in learning chemical concepts has become a difficulty for students and teachers to overcome.Multiple representation of chemistry concept teaching model in this paper is the integration of a variety of representations to present the concept,and the composition of internal relations,knowledge structure has meaning,it is a kind of both fit the characteristics of chemistry and can promote students to learn and understand the concept of effective teaching.First of all,this paper based on the existing triple representation and tetra-representation theory model,combined with the characteristics of chemical science and chemical concept,established the chemical concept of multiple representation model.The difference of the model is based on the existing triple representation which adds three a dynamic dimension that include three forms of representation,namely curve representation,schema representation and proposition representation.Its dynamic reflected that according the specific concept of teaching content canchoose the appropriate representation to study and teaching,so the model in the concept of teaching has a wider applicability.Secondly,based on the multiple representation model of chemical concept,this paper has created on a series of concepts,such as the conceptual system of “The amount of substance” ?“the neutral and heat”.Finally,example for the design of “the amount of substance”concept system of multiple representation teaching cases,selected two high school in Xupu County and Shuangfeng County for the practice and effect of teaching.Study on the effect of using paper and pencil test,method of questionnaire survey and interviews with a combination.paper and pencil test is divided into:(1)Self-compiled Test applied in the two experimental classes and control classes,a total of 282 students using for the study of chemical concept of multiple representation teaching model;(2)Select a section of the relevant data for statistical analysis in?The application of chemical metrology in experiment?in the mid-term tests of two schools using for the study of chemical concept of multiple representation of the teaching model on the impact of student learning concept of auxiliary verification result;(3)Self-compiled “Test of delay”applied in the two experimental classes,a total of 138 students,using to study whether the study of the chemical concept of multiple representation of teaching mode have a lasting impact on learning of students.A questionnaire survey was conducted among the two school forthe experimental class,a total of 138 students to investigate the evaluation of the multiple representation of teaching model and the impact of the mode on concepts of student learning.After the teaching,randomly selected 2-3 students in each class to interview,to better understand the students' evaluation of teaching model on the chemical concept of multiple representation.In each new class,1-2 teachers are invited to lectures,and make the interview after class in order to understand the teachers' evaluation and recommendations of the teaching model.The experimental results show that the multiple representation model of chemical concept has a good effect on learning chemical concept,and the data show that the multiple representation model of chemical concept has a greater effect on the conceptual learning for students with relatively weak knowledge base.Through the investigation and interviews among students,we can know that the multiple representation of chemical concept has a positive effect on the attitude and thinking of students to learn chemistry.And the teaching model is highly accepted among the teachers and students,the three representations of new dimension in the model is be loved among students,which futher illustrates the feasibility of multiple representation teaching model on chemistry concept.
