With the rapid economy of China,the gap between city and rural areas is becoming wilder and wilder,and a lot of rural young adults go to cities as labor force.Their children has been left at home,looked after by relatives and grandparents.Those children are called"left-behind children".The problem of the left-behind children is more and more evident,and four left-behind children in Bijie committed suicide by drinking pesticide made this problem become a social focus.This tragedy in Bijie is not occasional.Due to the lack of family feeling,the misconduct of left-behind children has become a pervasive social problem.Being apart from their parent,they grow up from a broken family.The relationship between parents and children has become weaker and weaker.Normally,the agent for the guardian fails to fulfill the responsibility,and the left-behind children couldn't deal with their bad feelings,that's why the emotional problems occurred.Most left-behind children are selfish,wayward,solitary,depressed,indifferent,and don't want to go to school.The emotional problems of left-behind children can lead to emotional imbalance and misconduct.A survey from China Youth and Children Research Center tells us that there are 61 million left-behind children in China,and they are the future and hope of this country.Their emotional problem has become a serious social problem,which will effect the development of their mental health and the harmonious city.This research focus on the students from Wuji central primary school in Xiangfan nanzhang,hubei Province.We use the fine arts education theory,the psychology of aesthetic education,the emotion psychology and the effective instructional psychology as reference.We interviewed and invested the left-behind children's life style,the reason why they are left,the statement of their agent for the guardian and their emotional problems.This research intends to analyze the positive effects of art education and the relationship between art education and the effects.We hope to find a pattern of art education,which would improve the emotional statement of left-behind children,and make contribution to the development of the left-behind children,s mental health and their future.This paper has four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly shows the background and the meaning of this research,the urgency of this problem.The first part also analyzes the current study of left-behind children in China.We find four papers from CNKI and their are none research study the effects of art education for left-behind children.The Related research is still in the exploratory stage.We study the characteristics of the left-behind children,s psychological development and the positive effects of the art education.We analyze the effects of art education above Aesthetic subject,the good point of building the left-behind children' s aesthetic psychological structure through the fine arts education theory.The main mean of art education is the fine arts,which has a vital impact on the left-behind children's moral education.Children can accept the spirit and concept of a art project directly.Children in primary school have great ability to learn and imitate.Their Aesthetic ability and moral spirit should be better by appreciating good works of art.The art education can make left-behind children easy,happy and have positive emotion.They are free to use their imagination to create art projects.And the Emotional teaching theory is the Theoretical basis of this paper.In the third part,we introduce the basic information of Wuji primary school.It is a typical boarding school.When we analyze the results of our research,we found some problems of art teaching.The forth part is the core part.We found that art teacher is good at finding out the emotional part of art education.They should use this in their fine arts teaching activities and strengthen the strategy of dealing with affectivity in art education for left-behind children.
