| learning style is an individual’s natural, habitual, and preferred ways of absorbing, processing, and retaining new information and skills(Reid,1995).It is viewed as relatively stable and not readily changed(Ellis,1994).It also cannot be characterized as being good or bad for each style can lead to effective learning for the individuals(Reid,1987).A number of distinctions have been made in the education field and have attracted much attention in the field of SLA.In the process of teaching, teaching and learning are two aspects that cannot be separated. This study is based on the theory of learning style, according to the Mathayom Watmai Krong School students and the Volunteer Chinese Teachers in Thailand by the questionnaire survey and interview method and observation to study the Chinese learning style in the multi-dimensional of Thailand students. This thesis is composed of 3 parts. The introductory chapter is about introduction, include background and significance of the study; The chapter 1 is about learning style, including learning style definitions, category of learning styles and elements and basic classification; The chapter 2 describes a learning style survey which seeks to shed lights on learning styles of Thailand high school students,Chapter 2 consists of two parts:First part introduces the current situation of Chinese teaching in Thailand high school. The survey shows that teachers lack of stability and continuity, teaching syllabus is not unified, difficult management of the status quo of Thailand generally exists in secondary school.Second part is the design of the Thailand middle school students’ learning style, including the implementation and date analysis, questionnaire design. The questionnaire we chose is relatively comprehensive Oxford "style analysis survey",survey date show that Thailand high school students prefer learning through different senses, tend to perceptual learning style, embodied as:visual, auditory and tactile, auditory is the largest proportion. The students’learning style is not absolute, different for various styles in proportion. In this regard,we should be good at exploring diversification and the cultivation of the students’ learning style, which is also an innovation of this study.Chapter 3 is about some teaching and learning suggestions according to the results of the questionnaire survey and as well as suggestions for future research based on the general tendency of Thailand high school students’ learning style. |
