| This dissertation aims to study how the Lao Government delivers investment promotion and Protection in special and specific economic zones in Lao PDR by providing the laws,regulations and investment incentives to investors in order to attract investors come to invest in Lao PDR more and more.Then,it will be discussed the compulsory on legal provisions implementing in Lao PDR.In addition,the results of this study are providing the legal provisions on the investment such as: Law on Investment Promotion which promote and protect both state and investors,besides that,it focuses on the principle of Special and Specific Economic Zones to be implemented in Lao PDR as well as administration and management in order to encourage foreign investors to invest in Lao PDR.Moreover,it bases on the decree on Special Economic Zone and Specific Economic Zone in the Lao PDR,it specifies the types of zones for the investors by following the government policies.Furthermore,it will study the lessons of SEZ development from the legal perspectives in Laos and China that is focusing on the distinction of law and regulation related to SEZ as well as the investment in SEZ in both countries.However,it will describe the current challenges which Laos’ s government is facing such as the barrier and solutions in Lao PDR.After that,it is followed by conclusions and some suggestions. |
