Xi Jinping's View On Youth And Study Of Contemporary Values

Xi Jinping's Marxist youth outlook is an important component of Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era,which has extremely enriched the theoretical treasure house of Marxism.Xi Jinping inherits the viewpoints and doctrines of the Marxist classic writers—Marx,Engels,Lenin,Stalin,Mao Zedong and other revolutionary instructors on the positioning,education,evaluation,and guidance for the youth in the past.And by combining the youth theory of Marxist classic writers with the specific conditions and characteristics of contemporary Chinese youth,he puts forward with the times a set of youth concept with Chinese characteristics,namely,the concept of youth status,of youth education,of youth development and of youth cultivation etc.Xi Jinping has greatly placed China's future hope on the contemporary Chinese youth,especially on contemporary college students.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping has been adhering to the consistent tradition of the Chinese Communists' attaching importance to youth.In the "May 4th" Youth Day and other major events,as well as in some replies to young,he has repeatedly expressed his trust and expectation on youth,also put forward a series of innovative ideas and grounded expressions on youth work.General Secretary Xi pointed out in the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC that "A national will prosper only when its young people thrive;a country will be full of hope and have a great tomorrow only when its younger generations have ideas,ability,and a strong sense of responsibility "Besides faithfully inheriting the Marxist classic writer's theories,Xi Jinping's practical conditions have contributed to the maturity of his youth concept.He hasabundant experiences of countryside living,working as a local leader,and the leadership of the Party since the 18 th National Congress.Particularly,there are two points worth mentioning.First,since Xi Jinping on stage,he has not only attached importance to,educated,cared for,and guided young people,but also took the lead,with an attitude of being infinitely loyal to the motherland and the people,to work hard for the Party and the people day and night,which sets an example and benchmark for the Chinese youth.Practical Action is better than shouting out loudly,And the power of good example is endless.His words and deeds are demonstrations,are powerful engines for promoting youth education in China.Second,starting from building a community of human destiny,Xi Jinping not only cares about Chinese youth,but also cares about the global youth.He hopes that through the visits,studies,and other activities,the Chinese and foreign youth will deepen their understanding and friendship.Meanwhile,these activities will be a channel to oppose Western hegemonism led by the United States,safeguard world peace,to seek permanent peace and tranquility in the world.Xi Jinping's youth concept,which has profound theoretical value,not only enriches the Marxist concept of youth,Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,but also has practical value for specifying direction of the development and innovation to the Party's youth work,and also for laying a solid foundation for guiding the healthy growth of young people.The introduction and development of Xi Jinping's youth concept has experienced the germination stage,development stage and relative maturity stage.With the development of different stages,exploration on ideological and political theory has followed closely and has achieved certain research results,but there is still a considerable gap between the target structure and development requirements of the party and the country.It requires the whole party to improve by promoting political positions and strengthening the means of landing.This is necessary because the youth issue has a bearing on the county's future and destiny and on the country's fundamental interests.Revolutionary theory is a guide to action,so the understanding of truth cannot be shelved.Since both theories and practices have proved that Xi Jinping's youth concept is a scientific theory,workers on theories and policies must faithfully andconscientiously follow: Firstly,we should hold a strong faith,and establish the central spirit for the youth;secondly,it is necessary to make great aspirations to motivate the youth;thirdly,we must integrate the knowledge and action to cultivate the youth.;finally,we must promote international relationship to guide the youth.Only in this way,can our generations of young people be worthy of the demands from the times and the earnest expectations from General Secretary Xi Jinping.
