With the gradual increase of the elderly population in China, the trend of population aging is obvious. There are also such a group of special old people in the society. They are not only the witnesses of China's development from war to prosperity, but also the participants in the liberation and construction of new China. They have repeatedly built war achievements on the battlefield and made important contributions to the development and growth of our country. The collective characteristics of the soldiers are obvious. With the soldiers who fought for the country scattered to all over the world, their collective memory also fell into a dilemma: the limited social scope makes the retired cadres' glorious experience have nowhere to talk,at the same time, with the passage of time, the collective memory faces the risk of disappearing and forgetting, resulting in the fracture of their sense of honor;in the military career Some of the bad collective memory also has a negative impact on their current life to a certain extent, which makes them unable to live a happy life like ordinary old people;influenced by the current nature of collective memory, there is a cognitive disorder when they reproduce collective memory, and the fragmented biased expression makes it difficult for collective memory to continue. The old people of military rest not only experience the same predicament as the ordinary old people, suffer from the chronic diseases of the old,and their health condition is not as good as before;their children are not around, and their needs of communication and talk are not satisfied,on this basis, the plight of collective memory forms spiritual obstacles for their current life, and weakens their confidence and ability to live happily in their old age.All of the above factors combined to form the result of low selfefficacy of the retired military elderly, which needs the help of professional intervention of social workers. This study takes n military Rest Center in C City as an example, through literature reading method to study and study related theoretical knowledge of narrative therapy, and then uses participatory observation method and case interview method to consult the data in the military Rest Center, communicate with the service personnel in the military Rest Center, and conduct random interview and investigation on the elderly in the military Rest Center, and select six veteran cadres as the practical research To understand their basic situation and needs, and use self-efficacy scale to analyze and evaluate their needs.According to the theoretical framework of narrative therapy, five group activities have been carried out for services.According to the research framework of this study, services are divided into four stages. The first stage is to write life stories, which is the beginning stage of narrative therapy,to guide the service objects to narrate their childhood experiences and pave the way for the next step;the second stage is to externalize the problems, face the shortcomings directly, and provide services at this stage The third stage is to repair the fuzzy memory, activate the positive memory, correct the individual's biased narrative, guide the service object to pay attention to the positive narrative, and explore the successful experience;the last stage is to consolidate and share To guide the service object to establish a new narrative and consolidate the positive change. At the end of the service, the process evaluation and result evaluation are carried out for the whole service process, and the self-efficacy of the service object is tested by the scale. The evaluation results show the effectiveness of this study comprehensively. This study starts from the collective memory dilemma of retired military cadres and applies the intervention means of narrative therapy to solve the collective memory problem of military training veteran cadres, strengthen positive narrative,so as to achieve the research purpose of improving their sense of self-efficacy.This process enriches the practical experience of narrative therapy research, and has certain reference significance for the localization and operation of narrative therapy theoretical model in the future.
