The rapid spread of Christianity in rural areas is attracting increasing attention. This article uses Z in Jinnan as a case study site.It collects data by means of semi-structured interviews and participatory observations. It focuses on modern rural areas under the background of rapid urbanization in rural areas. How does the rapid spread of Christianity affect the social network of believers? Based on Sumner’s "inner group" and "outer group" theory, this article divides the social network of rural Christians into internal and external relations for analysis. From the perspective of intra-religious relations, participation in religious activities has expanded and strengthened the interpersonal communication network of ordinary Christians in the village, but it is not conducive to the expansion of the village’s foreign exchange circle;the expansion of interpersonal relationships between religious elites before and after religious belief is significantly higher Yupu disciples have a certain correlation with their positions in the church;religious charity,a social capital network based on spirituality, provides believers with new social support, including Christ, who has a difficult life Christian material support and spiritual support for ordinary believers. In short, after Christians believe in Christianity, their social communication networks have been expanded and strengthened to varying degrees. In extra-teaching relations, the analysis is made from the level of kinship and geo-relationship.In the Christian kinship network, the vast majority of family members approve of the new role of Christians, but these will not cause resentment and conflict among family members. The Christian faith does not change the role of division of labor within the family, and at the same time, the teachings of Christianity are beneficial to their internal network to a certain extent. At the same time,Christians may influence their relationships with relatives, especially funeral rituals and ancestral activities, because of their Christian identity and missionary behavior. However, the female-dominated gender structure of rural Christians and the localization of Christianity prevent their beliefs from conflicting with traditional ancestor worship. In the Christian network of geo-relationships,the moral constraints of Christianity make believers more friendly and tolerant when dealing with neighbors. At the same time, for most believers, the most important human relationship in rural life is still dominated by their own blood relationship. The strengthening of the breadth and frequency of ordinary believers’ social interactions is mostly limited to their own geo-relationship networks, while religious elites have more opportunities to break through geo-restrictions and meet more new friends. The Christian faith will not fundamentally change the various relationships between Christians, but Christians will increase their contact with neighbors and friends who are also members of their religion in daily life, thus strengthening social interaction within their religion.,But reduced the social connections outside the teaching. In some rural areas,Christianity has become an important spiritual force, providing strong spiritual support and social resources for believers, and it may also become a new charitable force. In practice,we must work hard to implement the country’s religious policies and actively guide religion to adapt to socialist society.
