A Case Study On Resocialization Of Female Community Correction Objects

Community Correction has the functions of both punishment execution and positive correction.It helps community correction objects realize resocialization,and utilizes comprehensive education methods to reshape themselves in thought,behavior,and comprehensive quality.Thus,it reduces recidivism rate,caters to social needs,and is finally accepted and approved by the public.Female criminals attract much less social attention due to their relatively low crime damage and their relatively low percentage accounted for social crime.This leads to usual neglect of community correction on female criminals,and easily give rises to insufficient community correction and low effectiveness of management and control on female criminals,which results in bad resocialization effect and seriousness of recidivism.Much more emphasis should be focused on psychological comfort and counseling for female community correction objects.Social correction workers should pay more attention on humanistic care and possess idea of “help people help themselves”.They should focus on psychological and behavior correction on female community correction objects,and help female community correction objects eliminate bad sentiments and psychological barrier,restore psychological health,and reshape personality,in order to help them embrace positive values,return to society smoothly,and realize resocialization.By taking women-community correction objects as research ones,through a series of literature researches and field investigations,this paper summarized the issues and demands faced in practical women-community correction-target re-socializations.And with application of various case-work intervention strategies and techniques,as well as multiple theories,such as Cognition and Behavior Theory,Strength Perspective Theory and Ecological System Theory,it conducted a series of case-work intervention practices in women-community correction objects,helped communities' correction objects correct misconceptions,established corresponding correct legal ideas,enhanced their resistance strengths and self-confidences,improved family relations and changed negative attitudes towards re-employments for further promoting to establish positive value theories,forming positive and upward behavioral ways,as well as finally cooperating women-community correction objects to complete communities' correcting affairs in active manner and realizing favorable re-socializations.
