A Study On The Organizational Factors Of Balochistan Nationalism Affecting The Construction Of China Pakistan Economic Corridor

Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic partners.In the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor,the strategic significance of Balochistan province is very important.From the perspective of energy security,the construction of oil and gas pipeline from Kashgar,Xinjiang to Gwadar Port,Balochistan province can reduce the distance of China’s oil transportation by 85%;from the perspective of geopolitics,Balochistan province borders Afghanistan and Iran,and Balochistan nationalist organizations are closely connected with foreign forces,which has a significant impact on the smooth progress of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.From the perspective of resource development competition,the chakhbahar port operated by India in the Iranian Gulf of Oman and Gwadar Port have gradually formed a competitive relationship.As one belt,one road everything is going smoothly.The economic and Trade Corridor of China and Pakistan is not going smoothly.Baluchistan Nationalist Party organizations generally welcome the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor,but they are extremely dissatisfied with the central government dominated by Sharif.They believe that the central government attempts to fully control the natural resources and economic benefits of the province,lacks investment in the gap between the rich and the poor,infrastructure,people’s livelihood and employment,and does not include the Baluchistan government in decision-making In terms of project planning,Sindh and Punjab are also biased,and the distribution of benefits is not consistent with the cost of resources paid by Baluchistan.Baluchistan Nationalist Party organizations forced the central government to yield benefits through negative comments and parliamentary struggle.In the general election of Pakistan in 2018,the government of Imran Khan took over from the government of Sharif.In Baluchistan,the new Baluchistan people’s party has a close relationship with the government of Imran Khan.The government of Imran Khan also promised to reduce national defense and government spending to improve poverty in Baluchistan and increase investment in livelihood projects.However,Pakistan’s economy is in a downturn.Is this commitment true It remains to be seen.The behavior of Baluchistan nationalist parties has led to the increase of the cost of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project,and the project efficiency is far lower than other provinces.Baluchistan nationalist armed groups are opposed to China Pakistan Economic Corridor.They are opposed to any third-party investment or joint venture project in Baluchistan.They believe that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a kind of "new colonialism" and resource plunder,which not only does not change the situation of Baluchistan,but also a large number of migrant workers join in to seize employment opportunities and compete for water resources with local people It is the conspiracy of the punjabs.They refuse to have any kind of dialogue with the central government,oppose the dialogue between the Baluchi Nationalist Party and the central government,oppose the implementation of the moderate party policy,use international public opinion to slander the corridor construction,strive for the funds and weapons support of foreign forces,and directly cooperate with the Pakistani security forces Resistance is carried out by means of fire fighting,guerrilla warfare and terrorist attacks.Therefore,in the new stage of the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor,we should learn from the experience and lessons,and adjust the construction layout of Baluchistan province according to the current situation.To improve the institutionalized level of corridor construction,we should learn to use international practices to solve interest disputes,play a good role in the internationalization of RMB,carefully select projects,and do a good job in the docking of new projects and rescue projects in the new stage;secondly,we should pay attention to the environmental safety of Balochistan region in China Pakistan Economic Corridor.We should properly handle geopolitical relations,especially the great triangle between China,Pakistan and India,suspend the extension speed and prevent falling into the debt trap.Finally,we need to change Baluchis’ attitude towards the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.We should respect local customs and culture,strengthen the understanding of Balochistan and hold exchange activities.We should expand the ranks of cadres stationed abroad and do a good job in publicizing public opinions.We should give proper priority to investment projects and win the hearts of the people.Only through a comprehensive understanding and full assessment of Baluchistan nationalist organizations can we make precise policies,actively respond to risks and promote the smooth construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
