Study On The U.S. Target Intelligence Work Of The Post-Cold War

Information warfare is an integrated joint operation.Selecting the nodes of the enemy's combat system to strike,and winning with less damage is a universally recognized operational winning mechanism.Target intelligence is an important basis for selecting enemy nodes,matching appropriate weapons,and assessing the damage effect.Its comprehensive,continuous,real-time reconnaissance,sharing and utilization are an important guarantee for correct operational decision-making and rational use of weapons in information warfare.Throughout the high-tech local wars of the Post-Cold War,the U.S.military regards target selection and strike as the core of the war.The related physical characteristics,functions and strike effects have become the key tasks for intelligence agencies to collect and assess.The U.S.military has developed intelligence rapidly in target selection,target assessment and effect evaluation through Recent high-tech local wars,forming relatively mature target intelligence work theories and practical experience.This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter expounds the significance and current situation of studying the U.S.military's target intelligence work.The second chapter combs the concepts of target analysing,target work,and target intelligence.On this basis,the concept of target intelligence work is proposed,and the development history and status of the U.S.military target intelligence work are expounded.The third chapter analysis and expounds the support forces and organization of the U.S.military's target intelligence work of the Post-Cold War.The fourth chapter summarizes the characteristics of the U.S.military's target intelligence work of the Post-Cold War and predicts its development trend.On the basis of the previous chapter,the last chapter draws some useful inspirations for our military to better develop the target intelligence work.
