Group Work Involved In The Research Of Urban Mutual-Assistance Network For Empty Nest Elderly

With the social changes and the change of family structure,the urban empty nest elderly group has emerged along with the trend and become more and more powerful,which has become a social phenomenon that cannot be ignored.This group is a special group in the aging population,and its problems are complicated to some extent.The poor physical function,psychological loneliness and loose interpersonal network of urban empty nest elderly all reflect the multiplicities of the problems of this group,and the community needs to pay more attention to this group.It can be seen that urban empty nest elderly are more vulnerable and are more likely to get into trouble.Therefore,it is proposed to rebuild the self-cognition of urban empty nest elderly through group work intervention,improve their self-efficacy,initially establish and improve their mutual assistance network,so as to promote their interpersonal communication and improve their social participation,and finally improve their ability of self-help and mutual assistance,so as to improve the quality of life in their later years.The research object of this paper is the empty nest elderly in T community of Tong Ling city.After the previous interviews and data collection,8 empty nest elderly in T community were selected as the service objects.Through participating in the project of empty nest elderly in this community,contacting with the clients,their families,neighbors and community workers,consulting relevant literature,and understanding the needs and problems of this group,I have a general understanding of the basic situation of the clients.Based on the social support theory and advantage perspective theory,this paper designed and carried out 6 group activities by using the group work method.This research will be divided into four parts,the first part introduces the research background and research significance of this article,on the current relevant literature on the research object,this paper combined with social support theory and the theory of advantage perspective analysis to improve urban empty nest elderly mutual network status and the advantages and possibility of improving the capacity of the community self-help and mutual assistance.The second part discusses the current situation of the mutual aid network for the empty nest elderly in community T,including the introduction of the basic situation of the empty nest elderly in the community,the analysis of the current situation of the mutual aid network for the empty nest elderly,and the analysis of the necessity and feasibility of the group work intervening in the network.The third part discusses the practical process of group work involved in the urban mutual aid network for empty nest elderly,including the preparatory stage of group work,the development process of group activities and the evaluation of group work.The fourth part analysis group work in urban empty nest elderly problems existing in the process of mutual aid network,interpersonal,and put forward by promoting the group set up mutual aid groups,links all resources and increase the support to the development of social work,and to establish and perfect the community support network,eventually improve the ability of community self-help and mutual assistance.
