Communities in urban China have recently provided online service to facilitate ageing-in-place.Based on the UTAUT technology acceptance model, the paper investigated the relationship between intergenerational support and needs of community online service. This study used a combination of quantitative research and qualitative research. In terms of quantitative research,it mainly analyzes the questionnaires and presents the willingness and influencing factors of online services for urban middle-aged and elderly people. In the analysis of the online service demand of the elderly community in the city,it will be divided into three parts. The first part is to describe the statistical analysis of the basic population information of the elderly in the city. The data shows that a total of 392 subjects, the average age is 55.53 years old,58%are male,42%are female, and 86%have received high school and above.Education, education level is high,at the same time,40%of people’s monthly income is more than 4,000 yuan, the respondents receive various kinds of support from their children on average several times a month, and they are positive about the UTAUT technology acceptance steps. Most residents think that community online services are more important or very important. The second part analyzes the correlation of key variables. The three types of community online service requirements are significantly positively correlated with each other, and are almost positively correlated with the technology acceptance steps and intergenerational support.,laid the foundation for the later path analysis; The third part analyzes the key variables and obtains an acceptable structural model((χ2(22)=30.63,p=.104;RMSEA=0.032[0-0.056],CFI=0.993,TLI=0.987,SRMR=0.027).Based on the correlation analysis and model parameters,we adjusted some paths to get an optimized structural model((x2(20)=18.48,p=.556;RMSEA=0[0-0.040],CFI=1,TLI=1.003,SRMR=0.022).This model explains the 8-11%variance of community online service requirements and explains the expected utility of 65%variance(the most critical step in UTAUT).In qualitative research,in some cities The elderly conducted in-depth interviews. The interviews mainly focused on the intergenerational support of the elderly in the city and the influencing factors of the online service demand of the community. The role of intergenerational support in strengthening the UTAUT model was clarified. The insufficiency of the questionnaire data was made up through interview data.Conducive to more detailed and convincing research results. The most popular online service was appointment for nursing care at home, followed by medical consultation and appointment for home repair.Participants who received more support from their adult children were more likely to accept technology.Participants whose attitudes towards technology were more positive had greater needs of community online service.Online services were more popular among participants of higher SES.The study extended the application of the UTAUT model in family studies. Our results indicated that the UTAUT steps were sequential rather than parallel.Receiving daily support from adult children may encourage ageing parents’ needs of online services by activating the UTAUT steps.Practitioners may consider improving middle-aged adults’ expectations for technology performance to promote online services utilization. In addition, the research of this paper is of great significance to the practice of social work in the field of old-age care.First, social workers need to go deep into the community, understand the specific needs of the elderly in the community, and carry out community online service education.Second, social workers should make full use of the generation. It supports the positive guiding role of online community services for urban middle-aged and elderly people;then, social workers should be committed to the organic integration of online and offline resources;finally, social workers should promote the realization of Internet+pension services.
