Research On Huang Yanpei’s Democratic Thought

Huang Yanpei is a well-known political activist,patriot,and democrat.He is the main founder of the China National Democratic Construction Association and a close friend with the Chinese Communist Party.He devotes his entire life to saving the country and prospering the country,and the well-being of the people.He always links his personal destiny with the destiny of the country and nation,and makes important contributions to the victory of the democratic revolution,the establishment of a new China,and the construction of a new China.As the leader of the older generation of democratic parties,Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought embodies the efforts and attempts of the middle parties who representing the national bourgeoisie,the upper petty bourgeoisie and their intellectuals to fight for peace and democracy.Demonstrating the original intention and struggle of the middle party to change from old democracy to new democracy,and to cooperate with the Chinese Communist Party.On the basis of collating and analyzing a large number of documents,this article uses Marx’s historical materialism as a guide,and uses the literature research method and historical analysis method to specifically analyze the historical background,development context,main content,historical significance and contemporary value of Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought.This article believes that the formation of Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought has absorbed and borrowed from the Confucian political tradition of people-oriented thought,the essence of the democratic revolution theory,and the ideological content of western constitutional thoughts about saving the country.In addition,Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought has a profound imprint of the times.The scene of "party formation"in the early Republic of China,the great tide of salvation during the Anti-Japanese War and the strong atmosphere of post-war peace and democracy had an important impact on the formation of Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought.This paper holds that the formation of Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought has gone through four stages.The ideological inspiration of Nanyang public school and the revolutionary practice of the league make Huang Yanpei’s thought sprout democratic factors;the leading of Democratic Republic thought,the exploration of education and national salvation promote the emergence of Huang Yanpei’s thought of democratic national salvation;the tempering of democratic constitutionalism movement and the dialogue of Yan’an’s "historical cycle law" promote the maturity of Huang Yanpei’s thought of democratic constitutionalism and the deep understanding of the Communist Party of China;the thinking of the establishment of civil construction promote peace and unity,the position change of responding to the CPC "May 1st Slogan" marks the great development of Huang Yanpei’s Political Thoughts on democratic nation building and party political thought.This paper focuses on the analysis of the main contents of Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought,and believes that Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought is rich in saving the country,constitutionalism,party politics,and building the country.The specific content is that Huang Yanpei believes that the center of gravity of the country is at the lower level.It must be inspired by the lower level of education and cooperate with the upper level of political reform to achieve the goal of saving the country.In addition,Huang Yanpei believes that the implementation of constitutionalism is the key to the victory of the Anti Japanese War,the constitution is the basis for the implementation of constitutionalism,democracy is the basis of constitutionalism,and the rule of law is the premise of constitutionalism.Huang Yanpei specifically analyzes that the purpose of organizing the party is to benefit the country and the people,so it is necessary to strengthen party cooperation to ensure the victory of the Anti Japanese War and points out that the democratic parties should take the initiative to strengthen their own construction.At the same time,Huang Yanpei proposes to build the country in a peaceful and democratic way,and at the same time leads the national businessmen to accept the socialist transformation and build a new China.By combing and analyzing,this article believes that Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought has important historical significance and contemporary value.His democratic thought not only promotes the in-depth spread of democratic ideas among the masses at that time,but also lays the ideological and political foundation for the unity and cooperation between the democratic parties and the CPC as well as embodies the exploration of China’s modern intellectuals on the way to save the country and the people.In addition,his democratic thought has important value for forming a political consensus to understanding the new political party system;for new members of the democratic parties to inherit good traditions and make good political handovers;for democratic parties to promote democratic spirit,uphold the original intention of establishing the party for public participation in politics and strengthening the self-construction.At the same time,his democratic thought is limited by class and historical conditions,and has limitations.In the new era,in-depth study of Huang Yanpei’s democratic thought and a correct understanding of the positive role that this thought played in China’s revolution and construction have positive significance for strengthening multi-party cooperation and promoting the realization of the Chinese nation’s great revival.
