A Study On The Improvement Of Crisis Prevention Mechanism For The Aged,Sick And Disabled Inmates

Inmate crisis is ubiquitous in prison,which seriously affects the security and stability of prison.Effective prevention of inmate crisis is an important guarantee to maintain the security and stability of prison,create a good environment for reform,and effectively reform inmates.Due to the particularity of the physical and psychological aspects,the crisis caused by the old,sick and disabled inmates is also obviously different from the general crisis of inmates,with more complicated causes,more obscure manifestations,more difficult to deal with,and greater impact inside and outside the prison.The effective prevention of the crisis of the old,sick and disabled inmates is related to the prison security,social stability and judicial image.Taking H prison in F Province as an example,this paper mainly uses Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to study the crisis of the old sick and disabled inmates,analyzes its forms and causes,and discusses the current prevention mechanism,pointing out its shortcomings.In 2018,the Ministry of justice proposed that prison work should be guided by political transformation and promote the five major transformation patterns of supervision transformation,education transformation,cultural transformation and labor transformation as a whole.According to the latest work requirements of the state,the actual situation of the prison and the author’s own work practice,this paper integrates the five reform ideas with the crisis prevention work of the old sick and disabled inmates,and puts forward the countermeasures to solve the needs of the old sick inmates at all levels from the five aspects of political reform,supervision reform,education reform,cultural reform and labor reform,so as to provide reference of effectively improving the prison ability of crisis prevention,and maintaining prison security and stability.
