Lanzhou,as a city with open social environment and pluralistic social culture, where 36 ethnic groups live in,such as Han,Hui and Tibetan,is a model of friendly exchanges between ethnic minorities and the Han.The Han Muslims are the most practical embodiment of this model. However, the Han Muslims in Lanzhou,as a marginal group, have not been widely concerned by all sectors of society. This study took Lanzhou City as the field, lasted nearly a year, and took 15 Han Muslims living in Lanzhou City as the research objects. In reality, they should not only adapt to new living habits and cultural customs, but also deal with problems of cultural conflicts and identity construction among ethnic groups. These problems reflect the possibility of individual compatibility with diverse cultures, and how individual identity and group identity interact.Lanzhou has distinct regional characteristics and a strong multi-ethnic cultural atmosphere as a representative city in Northwest China. The status quo of the Han Muslim group in Northwest China can be reflected by the Han Muslim group in Lanzhou.
