China's new urbanization has entered a rapid development stage, and has made remarkable achievements. However,it is undeniable that in the process of rapid urbanization, there also exist a number of problems, causing a series of social contradictions. The emergence of these problems has made residents' satisfaction towards the process of urbanization very low,and has seriously weakened public's trust in government and public's willingness to participate in projects of urbanization. Therefore,it is of great significance for the successful promotion of urbanization to identify the key influencing factors of residents' satisfaction, clarify the relationship between satisfaction, government trust and public participation intention, rebuild government trust and promote public participation. On the basis of field research and interviews as well as by referring to a large number of relevant literatures and fully understanding the relevant theories, this paper constructed 6measurement dimensions of perceived transformation quality and established a conceptual model of residents' satisfaction, government trust and public participation intention in the process of new urbanization. At the same time,31 measurement indicators were established and questionnaires were made by referring to the relevant literature of new urbanization transformation and classical literature of government trust and public participation intention.Through factor analysis,5 dimensions of perceived transformation quality and 30 measurement items were finally determined. The 5 dimensions of perceived transformation quality are: government work and compensation, residential environment, living standard, public service and social integration.Through comparative analysis, the overall trend is that the areas with high economic development level have higher overall satisfaction level, while the areas with low economic development level have lower overall satisfaction level.Through one-way ANOVA,it is found that there is no significant difference in the overall satisfaction of residents with the two methods of relocation and resettlement;however, there is a significant difference in the satisfaction of residents with the time of moving into a new house.Based on the above research,a structural equation model of satisfaction, government trust and public participation intention was constructed and the following three conclusions were drawn: First, government work and compensation, residential environment, public service and social integration have a significant impact on satisfaction.Among them, government work and compensation have the greatest impact on satisfaction, followed by social integration, then by public service, and finally by the residential environment. The impact of living standard on satisfaction is not significant.Second, satisfaction has a significant impact both on public trust and intention to participate.Third, public trust has a significant impact on public participation intention.
