As a great international philosopher and educator,John Dewey,an American scholar,has made many philosophical and educational achievements in his long-term unremitting academic research and educational practice,and put forward many innovative moral education propositions,especially his life-oriented moral education thought,which once became a popular new trend of moral education reform in various countries.However,looking at the research of Dewey's moral education thought at home and abroad,it is found that there is no theoretical and systematic exploration and elaboration on Dewey's thought of moral education returning to life.Therefore,this paper attempts to conduct a comprehensive,systematic exploration and in-depth deconstruction and analysis of Dewey's thought of moral education returning to life,with a view to drawing lessons from the life of moral education in China.Use for reference.This paper mainly takes Dewey's life-oriented moral education as the research object,using text analysis,comparative analysis and other related research methods,in-depth excavation of Dewey's theory of moral education returning to life.First of all,the historical background and theoretical source of Dewey's moral education returning to life are deeply traced to reveal that Dewey's moral education is in the background of the whole transformation period of the industrial society in the United States.He absorbed the essence of his predecessors,criticized the traditional moral education mode,and put forward the idea of life oriented moral education in accordance with the requirements of the times.Dewey's theory of Life-based moral education based on empirical naturalism,whether its logical starting point or realistic basis,or its theoretical proposition and realization way of activating education,can be seen that Dewey's idea of moral education returning to life can stand the test of social development and practice.Finally,Dewey's moral education formed in a specific social and historical period returns to life.Thought has both its advantages and limitations of the times.Therefore,when we draw lessons from Dewey's moral education and return to life,we must take into account the actual development of moral education in our country,and fully consider the lack of penetration,weakening of life,loss of subjectivity and narrow scope of moral education in our schools.This paper puts forward that we should set up the idea of moral education returning to life,construct a life-oriented moral education paradigm,implement the infiltration of moral education in all disciplines,and create a life-oriented moral education environment to strengthen the timeliness of moral education in our schools,and implement new methods of moral education suited to our educational national conditions.Our country is in a period of comprehensive progress in social development,and isstriding forward to a higher level of socialist modernization.Therefore,combining with the reality of transformation and development in the United States at that time,exploring Dewey's idea of moral education returning to life here can provide new educational ideas for the transformation and development of our society,especially for the transformation of the main social contradictions,which needs us more.In order to realize the practical value of moral education,strengthen the effectiveness of moral education in schools,improve the overall level of moral construction system in the new era,and better go to the new journey of development of the times,we should pay more attention to life as the focus of education.
