| In the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the Kuomintang still had millions of troops in the southwest of China.About 70 million people in the southwest lived in deep water,waiting for the Communist Party and the People’s Army to liberate them.At that time,the"Southwest issue was extremely complex",which was mainly manifested in the complicated political situation,backward economic and cultural development,and abnormally prominent national contradictions,and so on,which constantly threatened the new people’s democratic regime.As the main leader of the Party in the southwest region,Deng Xiaoping deeply realized that if we want to stabilize the situation in the southwest fundamentally,restore and develop social production,and then guarantee the basic life of the people in the southwest,it is not enough to rely solely on hundreds of thousands of cadres and the people’s army of the Party,but also through the important magic weapon of the Party,that is,to use the United war.Lines mobilize all positive factors and give full play to the historical main force of the people.Therefore,in order to better shoulder the historic responsibility entrusted by the Party and the people and to push the work of Southwest China into the track of stable development,Deng Xiaoping attached great importance to the role of cohesion of the United front.On the premise of carrying out the Party’s United Front Theory and policy,he led Party organizations and Party members and cadres at all levels in southwest China to carry out the work.The united front work is rich in content and diverse in form.It should be noted that Deng Xiaoping’s application of the Party’s United Front Theory and policy is not mechanical or rigid,but on the basis of a thorough understanding of the essence,basic principles and mission requirements of the United front,he closely combines the principle of the United Front with the actual situation in the southwestern region,thus embodying the proletariat.The high flexibility and adaptability of the first-class United front.Based on the research method of historical perspective,this paper makes an in-depth study of the United Front work led by Deng Xiaoping during his reign in Southwest China,including the theoretical basis and practical requirements on which the United Front Work relies;Deng Xiaoping’s profound exploration of the United Front Work in theory;Deng Xiaoping’s deep promotion of the United Front Work in Southwest China practice;The unique theoretical character in leading the United Front work,the historical contribution and Contemporary Enlightenment of the United Front work led by Deng Xiaoping and so on,show that the United Front plays an important role in the construction of Southwest China.Historically,Deng Xiaoping’s work on the United Front during his reign in the southwest grasped the source of strength for rapidly changing the chaotic situation in the southwest and laid a social foundation for effectively promoting the liberation,transformation and construction of the southwest.From a far-reaching historical point of view,Deng Xiaoping’s theoretical exploration and practical advancement of the United Front Work during this period not only enriched and developed Mao Zedong’s thought of the United front,laid a theoretical foundation for the formation and development of Deng Xiaoping’s theory of the United front,but also possessed the characteristics and qualities of political principles,tactical flexibility and seeking truth from facts in carrying out the work of the United front.It also provides historical enlightenment for the United Front Work of the Party in the new era.In a word,a thorough study of Deng Xiaoping’s creative united front activities in the Southwest of China and a search for the ideological factors still shining with the brilliance of truth have important enlightenment significance for consolidating and developing the United Front in the new era and realizing the great rejuvenation and cohesion of the Chinese nation. |
