Research On Rosa Luxemburg’s Mass Viewpoint

Rosa Luxemburg was a prominent theorist and revolutionist in the international communist movement.Known for her radical ideas and strong will,she was called"the bloodthirsty red Rosa"by imperialists and right-wingers.Lenin praised her as"always an eagle","the outstanding representative of the real Marxism of the revolutionary proletariat"and"the immortal leader of the international socialist revolution".She inherited the mass thought of Marxism,fiercely criticized the revisionist thought in the second international period,and constantly formed the mass viewpoint with its own distinctive characteristics in the process of deeply participating in the strike and revolutionary movement of the working class.However,Rosa Luxemburg’s mass viewpoint failed to attract enough attention in China’s academic circle for a long time.It was not until the late 1970s that the academic circle of our country resumed the research on the value of Rosa Luxemburg’s thought.From the perspective of historical materialism,it can be found that Rosa Luxemburg’s mass viewpoint is of great theoretical and practical significance to the construction of socialism and the development and innovation of mass viewpoint.On the basis of deeply understanding and inheriting Marxist theory,Rosa Luxemburg combined her own practice with the characteristics of The Times to form a more systematic mass viewpoint.These mass vie"wpoints are widely distributed in many of her manuscripts,mainly including the following contents:First,we believe that the masses have a natural spontaneity.The masses not only possess a sound"class instinct"that is constantly aroused,but also contain a latent"class consciousness"that is constantly enhanced.What’s more,the masses were full of eager "class feeling".Second,the masses have their own subjectivity.The masses are not only the"rock" on which the victory of the revolution must depend,but also the eternal"sea"containing all the potential possibilities,and at the same time,they are"the source of the storm"that causes the revolutionary struggle constantly breaking out.Third,we believe that the masses are historically revolutionary.The masses are the"main force in the revolution of The Times".As a great mission,the realization of liberation is"their own business",and the masses themselves are"their own leaders".Practical,contemporary,innovative,revolutionary and forward-looking are the distinctive characteristics of it.Today,as socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era,the party must adhere to the idea of people-centered development,affirm the dominant position of the people,and always carry out the fundamental purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly in the process of uniting and leading the people of all ethnic groups in China to strive hard and create new situations.A dialectical view of the important value and historical limitations of Rosa Luxemburg’s mass viewpoint not only enriches the Marxist mass thought,but also provides a theoretical source for the formation and development of the party’s mass line.At the same time,it is also conducive to promoting the full implementation of the mass line in China and constantly improving the party’s governance ability and leadership level.
