Research On Returned Overseas Chinese From North Korea In Yanbian Region After The Founding Of People’ Republic Of China

From the end of Qing Dynasty to the period of the Republic of China,a great many people of Shandong Province continuously emigrated to North Korea to make a living because of the natural environment and social conditions.Most of the overseas Chinese marry and reproduce with other overseas Chinese in the local area.These overseas Chinese and their children began to return to China from North Korea after the founding of New China,which mainly in the 1950s,1960s and 1980s,because of domestic policies,war’s influence,development opportunities,patriotic sentiments and so on.Yanbian area became one of the most important settlements when they had returned.And Yanbian became a hometown of overseas Chinese in the northeast due to a large number of the North Korea returned overseas Chinese.From the perspective of oral history research,this paper discuss the reasons,results and impacts of the whole migration process with the returned overseas Chinese from North Korea,it takes the interview and existing dictating materials as clues,and takes the academic achievements of Chinese scholars Yang Zhaoquan,Qu Xiaofan,Liu Shuzhen,Song Wuqiang and so on as reference,and takes some searchable data in Yanbian archives as supplement,and provides a comprehensive exposition for understanding the modern migration history of the returned overseas Chinese from North Korea.The paper consists of three major:the introduction,the text,the conclusion.The first part is the introduction.This part clarifies the purpose and significance of the subject,and systematically summarizes the existing achievements in the study of modern returned overseas Chinese from North Korea in Yanbian,and defines the research object,and enumerates the research methods of this paper.The second part is the text.Including three parts.Firstly,it expresses the history origin of Chinese emigrated to Korean Peninsula from three aspects,which are the emigration background,the emigration process and the change of Chinese social status in North Korea.Then,it analyzes the process of the birth and development of modern returned overseas Chinese of North Korea in Yanbian region from three aspects,which are the immigration reasons,the immigration process and the resettlement after immigration,which combines interview sources,existing dictating materials and relevant literature.Finally,it expounds the inclusion and adaptation of returned overseas Chinese in Yanbian,and the exchange and fusion with the local Korean nationality.The third part is the conclusion.It mainly suumarizes the above text,it is to say,they lead a large number of working people of being attached to their native land to immigrate and make a living,the reasons of they are the corruption of Qing Dynasty,the forced and fraudulent actions of the powers,the heavy taxes,the frequent natural disasters,the chaotic social environment and the close range between China and North Korea.At the same time,due to the gunfire caused by the war,the increasingly strict conditions of employment and schooling,the gradual implementation of the Party’s policy toward overseas Chinese affairs,strong patriotism and so on,a mass of returned overseas Chinese immigrate in the 1950s,1960s and 19 80s.In this process,we can not only sense the history from the daily life and ideas of the returned overseas Chinese from North Korea,and find the experiences of the predecessors and experienced life in the historical events,but also pay attention to the culture and value of a specific group in the fixed time-space term.
