Study On Condition And Community Demand Of Empty-nest Aging Population In Qiqihaer City

OBJECTIVE: With the acceleration of the aging process in China,the family structure has changed fundamentally.The phenomenon of "empty nest" is becoming more and more serious.The empty nesters have different degrees of physiological diseases,and the demand for community care and health services is strong.The purpose of this study is to compile a questionnaire on the health needs of empty nesters in Qiqihar City and apply it to the actual investigation and study.By comparing the differences between empty nesters and non-empty nesters in health status,we can further understand the health needs of empty nesters in Qiqihar City,and provide theoretical and scientific basis for providing old-age services in the later period.And further improve the living conditions of empty nesters,improve the quality of life of empty nesters.At the same time,it also provides reference and scientific basis for other cities to establish health management and pension model in the future.METHODS: From March to April 2018,one community health service center was selected from three community health service centers(Longsha,Jianhua and Tiefeng)in Qiqihar City.A total of three community health service centers were selected as survey communities.762 empty nesters who met the criteria were randomly selected for the questionnaire survey.648 non-empty nesters were selected for the survey,mainly investigating the basic situation,health status and pension service needs of the elderly.SPSS 17.0 software was used for the analysis,which included general descriptive statistics,chi-square test,t test,etc.Result: 1.There are significant differences between empty nesters and non-empty nesters in gender,age,occupation,education level and medical insurance status,which directly affect the psychological status of the elderly.2.Hypertension,diabetes,cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are common chronic diseases in the elderly,and the prevalence of chronic diseases in empty nesters is 84.6%.Higher than 70.3% of non-empty nesters the proportion of non-empty nesters failing to be hospitalized due to financial difficulties was significantly higher than that of non-empty nesters.3.There was no difference between empty nesters and non-empty nesters in the demand for community activities and facilities.The higher demand was TV,walking and chess,while the demand for old-age services was non-empty nesters.The elderly have different needs,such as cleaning,regular physical examination and general outpatient treatment.Conclusion: The health status of empty nesters in Qiqihar city is poor,and their daily activities and mental health problems are prominent.Financial difficulties and actions are the main reasons for their failure to seek medical treatment in time.Empty nesters have a relatively high demand for social assistance and community services.They hope to establish activity centers for the elderly and enrich their community activities.It is hoped that community health service institutions can provide door-to-door services and enjoy general diagnosis and treatment and health education at home.Therefore,it is suggested that the health care services for empty-nesters in Qiqihar should be based on the current situation of the demand for empty-nesters,analyze the related factors of the health needs of empty-nesters,increase the special investment of funds for empty-nesters,improve basic services,strengthen the function of community pension,improve the health management of the elderly and the service quality of the old-age pension model.
