A Study On Appraisal Of Guangzhou’s International Safety Image From The City’s Expatriates’ Perspective

The study of urban image is an important approach for the study of urban image communication.The evaluation of urban public security service from the perspective of audience perception is an inevitable requirement for the construction of a service-oriented government in China.In Guangzhou,foreigners are particularly important for the evaluation of Guangzhou.Good public security exists.Help improve the international image of Guangzhou.This study aims to explore the image of Guangzhou’s safety image in the eyes of foreign audiences,and to improve relevant measures to achieve the purpose of spreading the image of Guangzhou.This article combines qualitative research with quantitative research.Based on empirical research,this paper analyzes the safety image of in Guangzhou from the perspective of foreigners in Guangzhou,and puts forward three specific research questions:(1)Prior to the arrival of foreigners What is the perceived safety image of Guangzhou?(2)What is the safety image of Guangzhou that foreigners perceive in their ears after coming to Guangzhou?(3)How to more effectively publicize safety image for foreign residents in Guangzhou?This study focuses on foreigners in Guangzhou and builds the urban public order image evaluation system from the perspectives of audience expectations and audience perception,and use this system as the theoretical framework of the study.The questionnaires were issued and collected through offline payment methods,and a total of 201 valid questionnaire samples were collected.Based on the analysis of 201 questionnaires,face-to-face interviews were conducted,and the advantages and disadvantages of the safety image in Guangzhou in the eyes of foreigners were summarized and analyzed.The survey found that overall,Guangzhou left a relatively safe overall impression for foreigners,and most of the foreigners in Guangzhou thought that the security environment in Guangzhou had improved significantly compared to before.However,through subsequent interviews with foreigners who had lived in the ear for a certain period of time,it was found that Guangzhou had a certain shortage of traffic in the eyes of foreign audiences,non-urban downtown security,law enforcement personnel working ability,and security hardware facilities.Such an image.In response to the inadequacies of the safety image of Guangzhou,relevant solutions and communication strategies are given from the three levels of management decision-making,media communication and social organization.For example,management decision-making departments should expand public security and publicize,and innovate community policing prevention and control mechanisms.Formulate appropriate policies and regulations to enhance the professional quality of management personnel;Media should increase the level of international reporting,enhance the uniqueness and interest of media reports,and improve the corresponding foreigner information services;The establishment of a foreign volunteer service team should be established in social organizations.Major festivals and events are an opportunity to promote public order in Guangzhou.
