The Study Of The Relationship Between Russia And Turkey Under The Syria Civil War

In 2011,the outbreak of the "Arabia Spring" movement has brought out a series of chain effect,resulting in the chaos of the Middle East.The civil war in Syria is one of its consequences.The Soviet 24 fighter aircraft incident broke out under the background above on November 24 th,2015.Since then,the competition between Russia and Turkey grows intensely.Six months later,on July 15,2016,a failed "military coup" in Turkey prompted a quick warming of relations between Russia and Turkey.In such a short period,we were caught off guard by the changes of the mutual relation between Russia and Turkey.The dramatically switch of the relationship between the two countries from hostility to affiliation was the reflection of the consideration and decision of the strategic interests between the two countries in Syria issue and the Middle East.This article systematically studies the geopolitical and strategic interests of Russia and Turkey in the contest of the civil war in Syria,analyses the internal and external factors of the changes of the relations between the two countries and describes the relations shift process from the "Soviet 24 fighter aircraft incident" to the "Turkey military coup” in details to give us a better understanding of how the great powers take consideration of their own strategic interest and the future relations between the two countries.
