A Study On The Social Security Of New-generation Migrant Workers In The Process Of New-type Urbanization

The urbanization of people is the focus of new-type urbanization,emphasizing t he concept of “people-oriented” and “shared”.As the new and old migrant workers' tr ansition gradually accelerate,the new-generation migrant workers will gradually bec ome the backbone of urbanization.They will make significant contributions to rural d evelopment,urban development and national prosperity.However,they are still unabl e to enjoy public services such as education,housing benefits,and medical insurance in cities and towns on an equal basis.If this situation remains for a long time,it will n ot only lead to social conflicts but will also be detrimental to economic and social dev elopment.Therefore,under the background of the new-type urbanization that is orien ted to the modernization and adapting to the new normal development,it is urgent to study the social security issues of the new-generation migrant workers.According to relevant data surveys,there are four problems in the social security of the new-generation migrant workers: incomplete system,unbalanced structure,lac k of social insurance,and lack of public welfare.The reasons for the above problems are not only the factors of the specific stage of development and the household registr ation system,but also the factors of the government,enterprises,system design,and e ven the new-generation migrant workers themselves.This thesis puts forward suggest ions on promoting the new-generation migrant workers' the equal rights of citizen,im proving the construction of social security system,playing the leading role of the gov ernment,and playing the auxiliary role of enterprises and trade unions.
