Objectives: To explore the mental health status of the recruits in field forces after their enlistment,to explore the influencing factors, and to formulate and implement a comprehensive psychological intervention program to provide reference for improving the mental health and adaptability of recruits.Methods:(1)Quantitative survey: Using cluster sampling method, the freshmen recruited by the Field Forces in the fall of 2017 were assessed using the Symptom Checklist 90,Simple Coping Style Questionnaire, and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire and analyse.(2)Psychological Intervention: Screening for maladjusted individuals was randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group with 30 patients each using a single-blind method. Both groups performed general mental health education, and the experimental group performed comprehensive psychological intervention on this basis. Results: 1.(1)The SCL-90 scores of 836 field force recruits were(139.99±43.55)points;those with SCL-90 total score exceeding 160 points were positive for screening, with a positive detection rate of 19.4%(162/836).(2)The distribution of psychological problems was as follows: compulsion(28.47%),interpersonal sensitivity(24.04%),somatization(14.35%),anxiety(14.23%),depression(14.11%),paranoia(11.84%),psychosis(11.72%),hostile(9.33%),and horror(7.78%).(3)Univariate analysis and correlation analysis showed that there were 3 factors in the birthplace(?2=11.02,P<0.01),family structure(?2=6.30,P<0.01),and interpersonal relationship(?2=224.01,P<0.01).It was related to the occurrence of psychological symptoms;positive coping style(r=-0.28,P<0.01),introversion(r=-0.26,P<0.01)was significantly negatively correlated with psychological symptoms, and negative coping style(r = 0.37,P <0.01),psychoticism(r = 0.39,P <0.01),neuroticism(r = 0.48,P <0.01)were significantly positively correlated with the occurrence of psychological symptoms.(4)Logistic regression analysis showed that negative coping style(OR=1.54,P<0.01),psychoticism(OR=1.16,P<0.01),neuroticism(OR=1.38,P<0.01)were risk factors for the occurrence of psychological symptoms.Good interpersonal relationship(OR=0.44,P<0.01),rural growth environment(OR=0.93,P<0.05)were the protective factors of psychological symptoms.2.An Empirical Study of Comprehensive Psychological Intervention Paired-sample T-test showed that The SCL-90 score before the intervention in the experimental group was(245.60±46.90),and the SCL-90 score after the intervention was(147.57±1.94).The total score and all factor scores were decreased before the intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(t=11.86,P<0.01).Compared with general psychological education, comprehensive psychological intervention has a good effect on improving mental health of recruits(t=-9.46,P<0.01),and the difference is statistically significant.Conclusions:(1)The psychological problems of field force recruits are widespread;(2)The psychological health of recruits is mainly related to coping style, personality tendency, mood swings, interpersonal relationships, and growth environment;(3)Comprehensive psychological intervention can effectively improve psychological health of recruits in field units.
