As the major part of criminal investigation, criminal investigators undertake double duty of attacking crimes and defending public security. The problem is badly in need of salvation no matter in investigation practice or in the theory study.According to the semimonthly magazine People' Police, the year 1999, the average life-span of first front police is 48. Some statistics indicate that - 30% of police dead in their position because of their long-time working and disease. "Most of the sacrificed police are primary police, especially the criminal investigators. People used to think that the hard and busy work caused this result, but along with the development of the society, people begin . to care for individuals' psychological health and realize that the psychological pressure caused by hard work is also an important reason of criminal investigators' physiological illness, and is the urgent thing we should deal with. Fortunately, many theoretical researchers and investigation departments are paying more intention in it and enlarge the research in it. In view of this, the writer advances some effective ways to ease pressure by means of her research and study. By introducing some advanced experience of Europe and America, the thesis' focal point is the criminal investigators' psychological health and how to adjust their pressure.The thesis is divided into four parts, containing about 35000 words, discusses the standard and importance of criminal investigators' psychological health, analyses criminal investigators' stress and the source of their stress, elaborates the research in police psychological health abroad and put forward the ways to adjust criminal investigators' psychological pressure. The first part discusses criminal investigators' psychological health. First, the writer put forward the conception and standard of psychological health and the writer's viewpoint about the special standard of criminal investigators' psychological health, including four targets: unified personality, no obstruction in personality; positive and stable feeling; realize the phenomenon of crime correctly; control oneself powerfully. Second, the writer discusses criminal investigators' stress and the source of their stress. First, the writer analyses the conception of stress, the behavior of stress and the psychological and physical behavior while they confront with stress. Some foreign country especially Europe and America started to do research in police psychological health long ago, and gained many experience, therefore, the writer set up this part to introduce some achievements in this aspect, hoping to absorb some successful experience to guide our research in the defense of criminal investigators' psychological health. The main content of this part is the research in stress of police; how to help the police to reply stress; how to ease the psychological pressure of police; the practice of selecting police. Advice from others may help one overcome one's shortcomings. By studying these advanced experiences, we can find many useful ways to guide our research in defending criminal investigators' psychological health.The third part discusses criminal investigators' psychological health nowadays. By analyzing the current situation of criminal investigators' psychological health, the writer finds the crucial reason of this problem, doing spade work for the salvation of criminal investigators' psychological health.
