According to combing the concept of media literacy,combining the challenges of leading cadres and the special identities of leading cadres in the new media era,discussing and analyzing the connotations and extensions of leading cadres' media literacies,this article forms the basic understanding of leading cadres' media literacy.Those are the capabilities of responding to media,guiding social media,being access to social people and advocating policy advocacy.Based on this background,this paper conducted questionnaires of 200 leaders at and below the section level in the Jiangxi province with the full help of the News Publicity Department of the Organization Department of the Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee.The results of the survey reflected the basic conditions that leading cadres' media literacies were lacking and needed to be strengthened in the new media era,which did not match the requirements for the leadership of cadres in the new era.Furthermore,this paper also analyzes the main reasons of the lack of media literacy of leading cadres in the era of new media in depth.Finally,combing the provincial and political conditions of Jiangxi Province,this article proposes an effective plan of promoting media literacy of leading cadres at this moment to seek feasible ways for promoting media literacy of leading cadres which conform to China's national conditions. |
