In recent years,as social issues such as environmental pollution, food safety, employee rights and false reports have become increasingly prominent, people from all walks of life are increasingly concerned about corporate social responsibility. The development of corporate social responsibility started later in China.Although corporate social responsibility awareness has gradually strengthened and the supervision has increased,it still has many problems such as incomplete corporate social responsibility systems, poor performance, and low quality of disclosure reports. With the rise of behavioral economics, scholars have found that executives play an important role in the strategic decision-making of corporate social responsibility.Whether or not an enterprise fulfills its social responsibilities is closely related to the executive's values and personal characteristics. The will of the leader can promote the implementation of the corporate social responsibility strategy. So,what kind of personality characteristics can motivate executives to be more active in fulfilling their social responsibilities?Should companies pay attention to the values and personality characteristics of senior executives in talent selection and cultural construction before they can promote the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility? This issue is worth pondering and researching. It has profound research significance and practical significance. As a special life experience, the experience of participating in the military has made senior executives develop values that are not afraid of sacrifice and social responsibility. All of these have had an impact on their cognitive ability and choice judgments, affecting the corporate social responsibility behavior of senior executives. In view of this, from the perspective of behavioral economics, this paper combines the theory of the Upper Echelons Perspective and takes the experience of joining the military as a starting point to study the influence of senior executives' experience on corporate social responsibility. This article selects 2009-2016 Shanghai and Shenzhen A shares of the sample to conduct empirical research, through the manual screening of data and access to personal resume. The data come from CSMAR database,Wind database,Sina Finance, etc. The results of the study indicate that:(1)Senior executives experience a positive impact on corporate social responsibility;(2)Under different property rights, compared to non-state-owned enterprises, military executives in state-owned enterprises promote corporate social responsibility actively;(3)The higher the degree of marketization, the more significant the positive influence of senior military officers on corporate social responsibility;(4)The lower the concentration of corporate ownership, the greater the positive effect of military executives on corporate social responsibility. The research results of this paper mainly include the following contributions:(1)Enriching the academic achievements of executives' experience of military experience on executives' behavior and broadening the research perspective of corporate social responsibility;(2)Inspiring enterprises to pay attention to the construction of military culture and focus on psychological characteristics of managers which has played a certain role in recommending senior executives;(3)Providing a theoretical basis for the professional development of military personnel after their retiring and reemployment;(4)Joining senior executives in the study of corporate social responsibility will help promote the enthusiasm of corporate social responsibility implementation.
