Social Work Intervention In Simulation Family Care For Disabled Orphans

The welfare of orphans with disabilities,who are among those most vulnerable children,has been an important sector in the social welfare system.In china,the rearing models for orphans with disabilities,used to adopting the conventional residential care,are getting more diversified along with the development of economy and welfare ideologies.Currently,there are three main types of rearing for orphans with disabilities:centralized residential care,foster family foster care and simulation family care in institutions.In order to evaluate the welfare impact for disabled orphans in simulation family care in institutions under the intervention of social work service,the paper author studies the mechanism of simulation family care in Changsha NO.1 social welfare institution,including the procedures of assessment and recruitment,the holistic welfare and development of children such as education and social integration,and the effectiveness of social work practice.This paper,based on the case study of four simulation families in Changsha NO.1 social welfare institution,with the mixed methodology of literature analysis and empirical investigation,is to understand the overall situation of the simulation family care in institutions,to examine the process and impact of social work intervention in simulation family care,thus presenting the existing problems and proposing feasible solutions.With the vision of all the orphans with disabilities brought up for their best interests,the model of simulation family care in institutions is rightly to be be promoted and adopted in a wider range across the country.
