| The return of the subject is an unstoppable trend in the development of post-modernism literature so far.In many literary works where the subject has returned and reconstructed, the "autofiction" has always run through the works of German author Monika Maron. It also links two novels,Flugasche and Pawelsbriefe.Eine Familiengeschichte, which span nearly two decades and have experienced East Germany as well as German unification. In light of the theories of “autofiction” and “identity”,this thesis will mainly analyze Flugasche, combining Pawelsbriefe in character analysis and narration, explore the narrative tension and implication and analyze the “autofiction” from the perspectives of narratology, urban writing and memory writing, explore the factors affecting identity construction, and further investigate her narrated self in works. At the same time of returning to the text, the reality reference is incorporated into the fictional narrative, and the identity is actively obtained. The thesis also tries to reveal the author’s continuous exploration of the value and significance of existence as well as the request for identity. In her two works.“autofiction” is the premise of the individual’s perception of selfcontinuity and identity.Only through “autofiction” can one obtain identity and find his current position.Through “autofiction”,the narrator showed the pursuit of self-identity and the difficulties, crises and contradictions she facesd in the process, but instead of succumbing to them, she chose her grandparents as her examples and continued to overcome the crisis and face herself bravely.Since the 1980 s,the “DDR-Wende authors” represented by Monika Maron has obtained spiritual as well as self-healing through the “autofiction”,incorporation reality references into the constructive elements of fictional texts, pure fiction or pure autobiography also turns to the elimination between reality and fiction,at the same time,on the basis of reflection, the focus on the text turns to the focus on the self. |
