The Writing Of "Growth" In Literature From Yanan Period To 1970s

This article mainly focuses on observing the growth issues during Yanan Literature to 1970 s Literature.Former researches believe that the novels of Cultural Revolution are written under critical political oppression,which means most of those contents are not meaningful.However,this article tries to find some paramount metaphor behind those novels,which is helpful for discussing and understanding the connection between growth,enlightenment and society.Also,this article extends the contents of growth novels,which are probably be ignored before to expand and strength the horizon of growth novel study.The first part of this article is introduction of former studies of red novels,and it is clear that so far,no researchers describe those novels as a system.Another part of this article is trying to explain the meaning of "Growth Novels and Growth Issues" and "Yanan Literature,1970s Literature and Cultural Revolution Literature".Chapter one talks about growth issues generally,which includes the images and ritualization of growth path.Main protagonists usually are leaded by the father of spirit due to the lack of a real father,and in some aspect,the father of spirit is more important to their growth.To those main protagonists,their adult ritual has a common model,which is ended as becoming a member of a political party.Eventually,main protagonists will achieve their goals,and they will complete their life circles as cases of educational significance.Chapter two discusses that the stories of main protagonists show the fragmented awareness of self-growth.Some significant literary images of enlightenment,like "Mother" and "Gun" can be found frequently.Although those characters have different experiences,most of they still follow a frame of "Revaluation and Romantic".Li Sun and Shuli Zhao also discuss the conflict between individual and collective,which is rarely found in this period.Chapter three discusses that the most important topic of this article is the close link between growth and society.During the growth process,the integration and conflict between people and society become more and more vivid.One signal of this connection is that models contribute to build up the basic characters of main protagonists.Revaluation songs are connected with their growth and reflect their emotions and thoughts,and revaluation books also illustrate the growth process of the youth at that time.Obviously,the ideas from revaluation songs and books push people to participate the Red Revolutionary Wave.In addition,authors at that period revised articles frequently to fit the society,and most of them were inspired by Red Soviet Literature.The conclusion part further discusses the literary value of the growth creation from Yanan to the Cultural Revolution,and the dialogue relationship across time and space with the later growth creation,and puts forward the prospect and expectation for the research of growth creation in this period.
