The Effort Model And Solutions Of Consecutive Interpreting From French To Chinese

During the consecutive interpretation,the problems of missed information and logic confusion in Chinese expressions are not uncommon for interpreters.The main reason is that with a higher source language information density,the effort distribution is not reasonable: short-term memory and analysis,notes-taking and listening,memory and production.This thesis takes the case of the "2020 Covid-19 International Forum" mock conference as an example.Based on Daniel Gill’s "Effort Model" theory,the author analyzes the source language and the interpreted language,figures out the imbalance of effort distribution in practice,including problems and causes,and proposes several solutions.The author hopes that the case analysis of this thesis can help improve the quality of personal interpretation;and also hopes to bring some inspiration to other learners.
