The Distribution Of Energy In Alternating Interpretation

This thesis aims at exploring the effort distribution in consecutive interpreting,using the simulation of interpreting practice of Premier Li Keqiang’s press conference.The author points out that the problems of interpreters mainly includes listening comprehension obstacles,short-term memory problems,confusing note-taking and targeted language expression.Targeting at these problems,the thesis discusses strategies from four aspects in accordance with the effort model theory of Daniel Gile.In listening conprehension,the thesis proposes that interpreters can make full preparation and analyze the whole meaning of the passage.In short-term memory,the thesis puts forward remembering on the basis of understanding and forming pictures of information.In note-taking,the thesis raises using settled symbols and abbreviations.Finally,in targeted language expression,the theis posts the methods of syntactic linearity and paraphrase.Solving the effort distribution problems properly is the foundation and pivotal of the consecutive interpreting.
