Investigation On Guandi Temple In Longdong Of Ming And Qing Dynasties

Guandi temple was built to worship Guan Yu,a general of shu during.The Three Kingdoms period.The belief of Guan Yu also became an important part of Chinese traditional culture eversince the Sui and Tang dynasties.Since the1990 s,with the upsurge of the revival of traditional culture and people’s higher pursuit of spiritual culture,Guandi Temple has become a hot topic for scholars to study,especially the proposal of “cultural confidence”after the 18 th CPC national congress.In the period of Ming and Qing dynasty has a large number and high value,and there are a lot of remains with artistic value such as buildings,murals,plaques,couplets,and inscriptions of Ming and Qing dynasties.Therefore,the systematic investigation and research on Guandi Temple in Longdong of Ming and Qing dynasties is helpful for a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the development and popularization of Guan Yu belief in Longdong of Ming and Qing dynasties.Meanwhile,it can also provide a basic basis for the protection of the existing Guandi Temple in Longdong of Ming and Qing dynasties.Based on field survey and visiting of existing Longdong Guandi Temple in the Ming and Qing dynasties,and combininglocal Chronicles and the Ming and Qing dynasties,and combininglocal Chronicles and the Ming and Qing dynasties through the literature relate to Longdong Guandi Temple,the present situation of the classification of Ming and Qing Longdong Guandi Temple,save to system integration,existing a total of 52 in Ming and Qing Longdong Guandi Temple architecture and heritage,including 2 state-level,1 provincial-level,1municipal-level and 3 county-leve.Then the investigation results are used to analyze and study the remains of its buildings,murals,plaques,couplets,inscriptions on steles and inscriptions.Longdong region is located at the border of three provinces of Shaanxi,Gansu and Ningxia,and it is the only way for many north-south trade routes in the Ming and Qing dynasties.Architecture,at the same time,the Ming and Qing Longdong Guandi Temple murals,plaques,couplets and inscriptions,words such as physicalremains has a very high historical value,scientific value,artistic value,social value and cultural value.Therefore,to raise to the attention of the Ming and Qing Longdong Guandi Temple protection,follow the basic principles of protection,realize the scientific and reasonable planning and protection.
