In the context of the continuous integration and development of modern technology and teaching,Chinese as a foreign language education games came into being.It takes into account both the entertainment of the game and the educational characteristics of the discipline,which attracts more and more researchers’ attention.At present,several Chinese as a foreign language education games have been designed and operated at home and abroad,but most of them have been discontinued over time.Therefore,Chinese as a foreign language education games have been in a period of gaps for a long time.However,these games have accumulated experience for the design and operation of Chinese as a foreign language education games,which are worth further study.Based on the mechanism of "flow" and the theory of emotional design,with Chinese as a foreign language education game "Beijing Hutong" as the research object,this dissertation analyzes the external factors——such as role design,scene design,story background design etc.and internal factors——task design,feedback mechanism design,game fighting mechanism design,etc.of the design of this educational game.Making a comparative analysis of other educational game cases,the author believes that the external design of the game takes into account the beauty of the entertainment level of the game and certain educational functions,but there are still many deficiencies compared with high-quality educational games;The design of internal factors considers the learning level of learners,but it does not combine education with entertainment very well.Therefore,the author puts forward reasonable suggestions for the design of Chinese as a foreign language education games,the author believes that the design of Chinese as a foreign language education games should take multi-functional and large-scale open game design as the main direction,strengthen the entertainment of game design,and optimize the combination pattern of education and entertainment of games,hoping to expand the path of development of Chinese as a foreign language education games.
