Jean Sibelius is a music master famous for writing symphony.In terms of the precious legacy he left to descendant,people always think of seven of his symphonies or symphonic poet.And as the exclusive instrumental concerto in his whole life-Violin Concerto in d minor is also a brilliant pearl that can not be ignored in many of his symphony works.This music occupies a considerable extent in many violin works.On one hand,benefiting from the ability of Sibelius to be good at arranging grand music,this violin work works is of great scene,emotional and bold,which reflects grand symphony style,and becomes a repertoire of many major competitions and master concerts as a consequence;on the other hand,in term of style,it completely gets rid of Sibelius’ s classic music style,and stands out in his works.For example,traditional violin concerto often uses cadenza at the end of the first movement,while Sibelius puts all of its cores in the middle,the length and span among movements are completely interrupted,which makes the first movement more important;meanwhile,various fresh structures and skills in the music also attach great explorative value to this work.In this paper,this classic works was mainly interpreted from several aspects as follows: 1.Understanding the creation background of the music by introducing the life story of the composer;2.Analyzing the musical structure and snatch of music of the song;3.Comparing the playing recording of master in different versions,and understanding their playing connotation through their life stories,so as to understand the music more comprehensively and objectively;4.Integrating researches in several aspects above and combining playing practice,and putting forward opinions for the three movements.Beyond that,in this paper,analysis was made for the method and skill of right-hand playing,left-hand string-kneading,force application and control,speed change,playing style,ways of emotion handling and other problems reflected in this violin concerto works,hoping to enable players to have deeper understanding for this work,so as to achieve better playing effect.
