| Maurice Ravel(1875-1937)is a famous French impressionist composer,he has a wide range of composition,covering orchestra,chamber music,piano,vocal and other fields.His music combines the traditional elements of French music with the innovational concept of impressionism and has a unique creative style.Piano music has always played an important role in Ravel’s musical composition,and can be roughly divided into early and later works according to time and style.The early piano works are more descriptive and often show gorgeous skills while the later piano works have clear structure and elegant style."Le tombeau de Couperin" is one of the masterpieces from Ravel’s later piano music,including small pieces that pay tribute to French music in the 18 th century.The six pieces in this suite are all written in the past forms,including three types of dance music which were popular in the court.The structure of these six pieces is clear and the paragraphs are organized in regular.Linked by a short motive,these pieces are inseparable although they have different musical characters.In terms of phrasing,this work uses irregular syntax,which has the retro characteristics and brings freshness to the audience.The harmonies that Ravel uses are colorful and full of tension.Ravel uses dynamic and tempo marks carefully,dynamic marks in this work are written from pp to fff,the possibilities in pp are widely explored.By analyzing the creative features of "Le tombeau de Couperin" and finding out various information from the score,the performers can play the work from a more comprehensive perspective.By comparing the orchestral version of the work,the performers can gain inspiration on timbre.When it comes to specific difficult skills,the performers can reduce the difficulties by adjusting the way of exerting force and analyzing the overall layout of the force in the music pieces. |
