The Study Of Composition Techniques On Huang Ruo’s《shattered Steps》

Huang ruo,the world’s outstanding Chinese composer and conductor.He has won the first prize in the Luxembourg international composition competition,the Swiss international music festival henri mancini and the American oberlin music competition.In the international arena for many years,has been in the breeding of Chinese and western cultural soil,continuous exploration,innovation,the creation of many excellent works.Broken steps,2006.Huang ruo is one of the representative works,commissioned by the Chinese conductor-Zhang Xian.The composer used improvisational recording and symphonic music to integrate,improvisational recording of the pitch material throughout the entire song,and in the composition of the band into a different culture elements and thinking.In this paper,the author tries to conduct a preliminary analysis and research on the composition techniques of this work through the examples of music and sound,and will explore from the aspects of pitch organization,orchestration technique,horizontal and vertical thinking and so on.
