Research On The Creation Of "Hantang Yuefu" By Meio Chen

This paper focuses on the artistic career,theoretical research and creative practice of Meio Chen,the founder of "Hantang Yuefu" in Taiwan,China,which is based on the Chinese traditional performing arts.Meio Chen combined "Nanyin" and "Liyuan dance" to form a mode by different traditional sources,on which she created a new aesthetic style.However,the traditional cultural background reflected in the works is not diminished by "recreation",but produces a new classical English aesthetic style,forming a unique aesthetic effect of "one plus one is greater than two".In more than 30 years,Nanyin Yuewu not only inherited and developed traditional culture but also push people to think,discuss and learn to create.
