Abstract/Summary:
In the intermediate stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,reading course is a basic course to cultivate the Chinese reading ability of foreign students.The research object of this paper is the teaching of intermediate reading of Chinese as a foreign language.The main teaching object is the foreign students who have the intermediate level of Chinese introduction and master about 2000-2500 common Chinese words.The teaching material is developing Chinese intermediate reading I.This paper sums up the problems existing in the teaching practice,such as the teaching cost is not in direct proportion to the teaching efficiency,tries to apply the chunk theory to the teaching practice and explores strategies and methods to solve the above problems.This paper first reviews and analyzes the relevant research on Teaching Chinese as a foreign language reading and Chunk Theory,and on the basis of previous studies,discusses the definition,definition criteria and classification of chunk,which lays the foundation for later chunk analysis.Secondly,it summarizes the problems in the teaching of intermediate reading in Chinese as a foreign language,analyzes the advantages of chunks in language teaching in combination with previous research results,and further organizes and analyzes chunks in textbooks,and discusses the necessity and feasibility of applying Chunk Theory to the teaching of reading.Then,according to the teaching practice,the specific application timing and method strategies of lexical chunks in the teaching process are proposed,and it is expected that the problems in the teaching of intermediate reading of Chinese as a foreign language will be alleviated to some extent.Finally,taking a text in Lesson 10 of "developing Chinese intermediate reading I" as an example,the author designs a teaching plan according to the principles,methods and strategies of chunks in the teaching of TCFL intermediate reading for reference.Although there are some shortcomings in this paper,I hope that this study can provide some new ideas and references for the later research of TCFL intermediate reading teaching.
