For all the research and discussion on interpreting these years,it is never agreed by all whether the interpreters should remain invisible during the interpreting process. The author’s view is that the interpreter should always keep in mind his or her subjectivity in any interpreting task, which means he or she should be more active in adopting different strategies in interpreting tasks, comprehending the intentions of speakers, and coordinating and facilitating communication.Studies and research on the subjectivity of interpreters, both at home and abroad, have provided an enlightening prelude to the author’s awareness as well as understanding of such subjectivity. The author hopes,by analyzing his performance in a specific interpreting task, that his understanding on the subjectivity of interpreters can be deepened. This report is based on the author’s work as an interpreter in LVCVA China Sales Mission 2019.In this report, the author will describe the preparation, interpretation, and evaluation. And in the main body of this report, the interpreter’s subjectivity is introduced. In addition, analysis is given in an attempt to illustrate how the different tactics used in this task demonstrate the interpreter’s subjectivity.
