With the gradual acceleration of the internationalization of Chinese language promotion,traditional education methods have been unable to meet the needs of nationalization of Chinese international education.Reading,as an important means to improve learners' reading ability and accumulate language and cultural knowledge,the relevant theories of reading strategies also need to be updated and improved.This article takes Chinese learners at the intermediate and advanced levels of HSK level 4 and above in the Confucius Institute in Spain as the research object,and studies the current situation of the choice of reading strategies and the common problems.It combines questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to investigate Individual factors affecting the choice of strategy and the shortcomings in current teaching.Then,based on the conclusions of the survey,how to use the existing conditions in non-target language environments to improve the reading ability of students and to make feasible suggestions for improving the teaching quality of volunteer teachers.The article is divided into the following parts: 1.Introduction,mainly introduces the basis for selecting the topic,research questions,research significance and research methods.Literature review.In this chapter,the research results of learning strategies and reading strategies at home and abroad are sorted out.The emphasis is on re-classifying reading strategies according to the previous research conclusions and according to the characteristics of the research objects in this survey.Research design and implementation.This chapter mainly develops the outline of the questionnaire and interviews between teachers and students,and introduces the implementation of the questionnaire.4.Discussion and analysis of survey results.This chapter is divided into two parts.First,the results of quantitative surveys and teacher-student interviews are used to answer the research questions in this article,and to point out the areas for improvement in the teaching of the Confucius Institute in reading.Secondly,according to the reflected problems,we discuss reasonable suggestions from both aspects of teacher teaching and student learning,and propose specific improvement methods.Finally,the article reviewsand summarizes the research conclusions,reflects on the limitations of the paper,and looks forward to propositions that will further study the use of reading strategies by Spanish Chinese learners in the future,and summarizes the innovations of this article.The results of the study show that: 1.Intermediate-advanced Chinese learners' reading strategies are generally of medium frequency;2.They are arranged in order from high to low,followed by Chinese reading strategies,metacognitive strategies,emotional /social strategies,and compensation strategies.And cognitive strategies;third,second language learner experience and Chinese proficiency have caused significant differences in the choice of strategies;fourth,the test students have problems with Chinese character recognition,mother tongue strategies and reading concepts,and Volunteer teachers need to be improved in the arrangement of classroom links,the selection of reading materials and the way of inspection.In view of the above problems,the author puts forward suggestions for improvement from both teachers and students.It is hoped that the research results can provide teaching reference for volunteer teachers to improve the reading ability of overseas Chinese learners.
