In the foreign exchange of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is the earliest Chinese medical therapy that is spread out of China and accepted by the western countries.World Health Organization put forward and promulgated international standards for jingmai translation in 2007.However,due to differences in vocabulary, national psychology and thinking mode,Chinese and western scholars use different ways to interpret TCM terminology according to their own understanding. There are still many controversies regarding the use of the word jingmai(??)and multiple translations of three-yin(??)and three-yang(??),so it is necessary to use a unified translation form as the universal textbook for international exchanges. This article combines the text analysis with comparative analysis to analyze three English versions of fourteen jingmai. They are WHO International Standard Terminologies on Traditional Medicine,International Standard Chinese-English Basic Nomenclature of Chinese Medicine edited by Li Zhenji and the version translated by Li Zhaoguo in Study on English Translation of Basic Terms and Terms in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Then the author adopts cultural translation theory proposed by Susan Bassnett to analyze the way to translate the fourteen jingmai. It is believed that using the word channel to interpret jingmai and using free translation and transliteration to translate three-yin and three-yang are efficient ways. The article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the research background of the article concluding the research content, methodology, purpose, significance, and structure of the thesis. The second chapter is the literature review, which introduces important research aspects and theories. The third chapter is a description of the cultural background of the fourteen jingmai. The fourth chapter is the demonstration and comparative analysis of three versions. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
