| The topic of this thesis belongs to the research direction of western orchestral performance in the field of music.Tema con Variazioni,a clarinet work composed by French composer Jean Francaix,is the target of study.This thesis will analyze the key and difficult points which may be encountered while handling its style and applying the skills.Therefore,this thesis will be an analysis of both the style of the musical work and performance techniques.Francis' s clarinet work Tema con Variazioni is in the repertoire list of the degree concert of the author.This piece is quite representative among the neoclassical music works of clarinet.In the process of practice and study,the author obtained some understanding in terms of the style and performance techniques of the work.Thus formed this topic.First,this thesis analyzes the artistic style and performance techniques of the work from a theoretical perspective,which includes the biography,writing habits and performance skills of the composer;as well as the structure and performance techniques of the composition.The author hopes to provide some theoretical experience for the performers.Furthermore,knowing the style and mastering the skills of the work,will help the performers to clearly understand the difficulties while practicing,and thereby establishing a more comprehensive understanding of the work.Therefore,this thesis also has certain practical significance.At present,the papers about Francois' life,artistic style,or work analysis are not quite common.Although Tema con Variazioni have been frequently performed in recent years,there is still not much systematic analysis of skill application and how to handle its style.Tema con Variazioni by Francais is one of the few clarinet solos by the composer.As the piece has been more and more frequently chosen by events both at home and abroad,a growing number of clarinet performers have begun to know and explore it,which has promoted in-depth research on the work. |
