Study On The Development Of Wildlife Documentaries

Wildlife documentary is the easiest among many documentary types to achieve cross-cultural and inter-age transmission and enjoys a high degree of attention in the international documentary market.For a long time,the research and creation practices of foreign wild documentary films have steadily advanced.By contrast,China’s wildlife documentary creation is still in the exploration stage,and there is currently a relative lack of research on this species.As a country with rich natural resources and wild animal species,China has the natural conditions for filming wildlife documentaries,but few There are documentary creators who dabble in the creation of wildlife documentaries,which in itself is a problem worthy of people’s research and reflection.This study first sorted out the development process of wildlife documentaries,and explained the development status of wildlife documentaries at home and abroad,to further analyze the successful experience of filming foreign wildlife documentaries and the bottlenecks of domestic wildlife documentary creation.The method of case study and interview is used in the research,and a case study of the wild animal documentary "Qilian Mountain National Park" created and produced in Gansu.Through observing the documentary and interviewing the documentary creative team,try to analyze the problems in the production of a wildlife documentary.In exploring the future development path of China’s wildlife documentary,I hope to provide a valuable reference for the future research and creation of China’s wildlife documentary.
